Top 10 ways to drink “Turmeric”

“Turmeric” can be used in powdered form or in any other forms in liquids. “Turmeric” which is high in anti-oxidants has a wide range of benefits such as lowering blood pressure and to cleansing the liver. It is widely used in Asian cuisines and it is a key ingredient in most of the curries.

Turmeric can be found fresh, but it is most commonly used in dried, powdered form or can be used in any form. It has many health benefits; you can say modern medicine for many problems. It can work wonders with its antioxidant properties, helps to fight against inflammation, help to protect your brain and heart, helpful in giving relief from Arthritis, helpful in cancer and diabetes.

It gives you the instant results in drinks you take in your day to day health issues. There are a few forms to take turmeric in your diet, which is listed below:

1. Turmeric/ Golden Milk

It is called as Golden Milk because of its color. During winters you just have to take turmeric milk once a day or before going to the bed and you can see the difference. You can take a glass of milk into the container and add a pinch of turmeric powder into the container. You can add sweetener which is optional. Heat this mixture around 2 minutes. Now your drink for solving your many health problems is ready.

2. Hot Turmeric chocolate

Turmeric can be added in any recipe to make you feel good while drinking. It also gives you many health benefits. Chocolates can be consumed anytime in a day. So, why not in a drink?

You have to take coconut milk and water into a pan. On a medium heat you can keep this mixture. Now add ginger, cinnamon, honey and turmeric into it. Allow this mixture to mix well in the simmer. Stir to combine all the mixtures.

After removing it from the heat you can add raw cacao and vanilla extract. Now strain and serve hot.

3. Golden Honey drink

This can be made to prevent from cold. You can add a pinch of Turmeric with the tablespoon of Honey in the warm water. You can drink this liquid drink before the bed time. You feel some relief from the cold in the very next morning. It also helps to reduce cholesterol among other powerful health benefits.

4. Turmeric Smoothie

You can prepare your morning breakfast with really delicious Smoothie by adding a pinch of Turmeric into it. Also, it is beneficial to lose some weight with this drink. It has anti-bacterial, anti –fungal and anti-flammatory properties. It has in earthy light in color and bitter in taste and by blending it into the sweet fruit you won’t even notice that some bitter taste or turmeric is there in your smoothie. It is so tasty and nutritious that you can add to your daily diet. I can be your power pack breakfast. You have to add all the ingredients into the blender and blend it very well before taking it.



Add one cup of fresh coconut milk into the blender. Now add 3/4 tablespoon turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder. Add ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder, ½ teaspoon of Chia seeds, 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds, ½ teaspoon of ginger powder. If available add one whole Alphonso mango. You can use other seasonal fruits like banana, pineapple. Now blend it till the time it is blended in a proper way.

5. Turmeric Juice

You can enjoy the anti-inflammation turmeric juice. You can use Apples, carrots, lemon, celery and mint to get the health benefits from the natural forms. All you have to take the fruit of your choice and grind it. Add a turmeric and mint in its natural form into the grinder. Now you can enjoy it by adding salt and pepper into it.

6. Turmeric and Honey Chai Latte

You spend a lot of money to buy this drink from Starbucks, “Chai Latte”. It is made out of two tea bags and cashew milk. In North America, chai means the mixture of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger and black pepper. In many parts of the world chai means “tea”.
Add boiling water into the Mug. Now add two tea bags. After that you can add honey and turmeric for this beautiful looking and healthy “Turmeric and Honey Latte”.

7. Raspberry Turmeric Shake

This fruit shake with turmeric will help you to get the nutrients, treating arthritis and other joint issues. You can put the below mentioned ingredients into the blender.

– Half cup Frozen raspberries
– 1 Roughly chopped banana
– 1 cup coconut milk
– ½ grounded turmeric
– 1 tbsp lemon juice

After blending all these, you can add a pinch of salt and honey into the mixture. Highly blended and whizz until completely smooth. Serve with ice.

8. Apple Green Tea Turmeric Tonic

It is a normal green tea added with turmeric and apples. For sweetening, you can put honey or brown sugar. Pour water into the pan and heat. Add apple wedges and cinnamon sticks, turmeric, ginger, vanilla, black pepper and coconut oil. Boil this mixture on medium heat for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, add green tea bags and stir well. After 5 minutes till this tonic allows the tea to steep. Remove the tea bags and now you can use this tonic with the honey. It will be yummy too with the cooked apples.

9. Turmeric Ginger Morning detox drink

It can be used as a cancer preventing tonic and hence useful in the early morning. You can take this drink early morning and empty stomach. You can take warm water. You can add honey, lemon, ginger and turmeric into it. Put all the mixture in the heat for around 30 minutes. This drink will help you to clean your body, gives you vitamin C and anti-oxidants.

To lose weight also you can take this drink early morning with empty stomach.

10. Turmeric Tomato Detox Soup

This turmeric Tomato detox soup can be made with vegetable stock, tomato, Apple cider vinegar. All you need to take coconut oil and heat it in a sauce pan. Fry the onion and garlic in that coconut oil for a minute. Add turmeric and tomatoes till it gets smoothens in the pan.

Add vegetable stock, apple cider vinegar, fresh basil. Boil it for around 5 minutes at a simmer. Transfer into the blender. Serve hot after garnishing with the mixed seeds and nuts.
